The Beetle’s designers have made every effort to be daring, and to produce a completely fresh, modern take on the classic VW. As with today’s Beetle, the car will be assembled at VW’s Puebla plant in Mexico, alongside the next Jetta. At the top of the range will be the 2.0 TSI from 211 hp to be the preserve of the sporty R Beetle, while in the U.S. The range of engines will be limited to 2.5 petrol five-cylinder 170 hp.
