Audi Avus quattro

The Audi Avus quattro was a "supercar-styled" concept car from the German car manufacturer Audi. It was first introduced at the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show. The Avus quattro had an aluminum exterior, which made it a lightweight, sleek and safer automobile.
The Avus quattro's engine was supposed to be a 6.0 L 60-valve 12-cylinder engine producing 509 PS (374 kW; 502 hp), capable of accelerating the car from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in about 3 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h). The exact car shown at the Tokyo Motor Show, however, had a dummy made of carefully painted wood and plastic for an engine because at the time, such a powertrain was still in development; Audi-made W12 engines were not available to buyers until Audi presented its flagship A8 a few years later.
The Avus quattro is now on display at Audi's museum in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Audi quattro concept

The Audi quattro concept is a concept carAudi and presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2010. It commemorates the 30th anniversary of the original Audi Quattro and the Audi quattro four wheel drive system. Based on the Audi RS5, it features a modified 2.5L five-cylinder TFSI engine and the sixth generation of quattro transmission. It has been reported that Audi are considering a limited production model (200–500 cars) based on the quattro concept produced by

Engine and transmission

The car is powered by a turbocharged (TFSI) five cylinder 2.5 L engine producing 408 PS (300 kW), enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It has a six-speed manual gearbox and a new generation of the quattro permanent four wheel drive system.

Body and chassis

Based on the platform of the Audi RS5, with a wheelbase shortened by 150 mm, the styling is a reinterpretation of the short-wheelbase Audi Sport Quattro. The body is constructed in aluminium using Audi Space Frame technology, and additional carbon fibre components.
The car's total weight is only 1,300 kilograms (2,866 lb),which makes for a power-to-weight ratio of 3,2 kilograms per horsepower (9.48 lb/hp).
