A few days back Honda officially unveiled the 2012 Honda City facelift in Thailand and by the looks of things this is the same version that will be making it into India during the festive month of October or November, 2011. Ahead of the official unveiling in India, we bring the the features, specs, design changes along with a few images of the new 2012 Honda City facelift.
Starting with the exterior changes, whats new is a chrome finish grille which replaces the current grey finish unit along with a slight tweak to the front bumper. The tail lamps will also be sporting a new design along with reflectors being placed at the bottom of the rear bumper. Also on offer might be a new set of alloy wheels.
Coming to the interior changes, the first thing you will notice about the new 2012 City is a white-blue backlit instrument cluster replacing the orange backlit unit. A sun roof is also expected to be making it into the top end variant along with a much needed CD player.
Under the hood will be the same 116bhp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine. As for the diesel powered variant, Honda wont be bringing it to the table anytime before 2013 and anticipate no new development in the area before 2013. We expect
Honda to price the new 2012 Honda City facelift somewhere along the lines of the current pricing strategy for the base and middle variants while the top end variant could see a slight price hike.
